Susan Brooks, MSW, Program Director, Northern California Training Academy, UC Davis Extension, University of California
Corene Kendrick, Staff Attorney, Youth Law Center
Additional panelists TBA

More than 80,000 children are in foster care in California. Studies find that as many as 84 percent of them experience a mental health problem. How can the state give foster kids a chance at adapting to life without the burden of untreated mental illness? This panel will showcase local organizations that are bridging the gap between over-extended case workers and foster parents, so children in foster care can get the help they need and deserve.
