Description
Flash fiction is usually defined as a work under 100 words, though San Jose's Flash Fiction Forum defines it as "no more than two pages double spaced." The short-short format has been used for decades by writers like Lydia Davis, Langston Hughes and Joyce Carol Oates, and for the last five years, the Forum's Wednesday readings have been a great resource for writers and fans of (short) fiction. Readings are always free, as is the submission process for interested writers. Come celebrate this half-decade milestone for the local literary community.
