    In addition to general eye care, which includes complete eye examinations and evaluation for spectacles or contact lenses, our physicians are trained in the latest surgical techniques including small incision phacoemusification cataract removal with intraocular lens implantation, and laser refractive surgery
 
    The subspecialty orientation of our physicians allow us to offer our patients expert treatment in the areas of corneal, refractive, and plastic surgery as well as consultation in uveitis and external disease. We are assisted by a highly competent and experienced staff aided by the latest technical equipment including computer-assisted visual fields, ultra-sonography, ocular photography, fluorescein angiography, Heidelberg retinal tomogram, and corneal topography.         Many surgical procedures, including most laser surgery, are performed in our office utilizing the latest technology. Cataract, corneal, strabismus and glaucoma surgeries are usually done at O'Connor Hospital on an outpatient basis. Surgery is also performed at other regional surgery centers. Admission to the hospital for overnight stay is unusual. Your doctor will discuss this with you at the time surgery is scheduled.
