Have you ever wanted to play the powerful rhythms of Japanese Taiko?
Emeryville Taiko is delighted to announce a 4-week series of "Intro to Taiko" classes. This class systematically covers all the basic taiko skills including etiquette, form, and basic rhythms and drills and is the pre-requisite to the performance-track classes.
Taiko is:
- great exercise
- rhythm, music and expression
- teamwork
- personal challenge
- a window into Japanese culture
- stress relief
- a whole lot of fun!
Classes are offered at the CalShakes rehearsal space at 701 Heinz Ave in Berkeley on:
>> Thursday nights from 6:30pm to 8pm
>> Saturday afternoons from 1pm to 2:30pm
Session I begins October 1, 2011
Session II begins October 29, 2011
