Santa Cruz's Ecophagy can play some super-fast grindcore. They can also play some super-slow grindcore. Then some super-fast, then super-slow grindcore once again. Most of the members are under 18, which gives them ample teen angst to spare. The emotional intensity is unrelenting. So is the volume. We're talking about full throttle metal-punk-rock mayhem—your ear drums may hate you after the show, but you'll be on an adrenaline high.
