Twinkling lights, ice skating and palm trees come together once again for a few magical weeks in the heart of Silicon Valley. Bay Area native and 1992 Olympic figure skating champion Kristi Yamaguchi will usher in the annual Downtown Ice skating rink--presiding over the opening celebration. The fun starts at 5pm this Friday and those eager strap on their blades will be able to get on the ice for just $5. The cost of admission goes up later this season. Bundle up and bring the family.
