The Doug Ellington Trio comes to the Pagoda Restaurant & Bamboo Lounge at the Fairmont Hotel in San Jose. Hailing from San Francisco, Doug Ellington creates music that blends elements of jazz, hip hop and R&B into a wild, yet smooth groove. As a talented trumpet player, composer and bandleader, Doug Ellington is most definitely following the same path of musical innovation that is grand uncle, The Duke himself, has taken. The other members of this trio are Chazz Alley on reeds, Nate Paese on bass, Ricky Carter on percussion, and Jacob Smolowe on keys.
