Description

Dennis Parlante's collage work includes correspondence and ephemera that he collects from thrift stores and auctions. His sensitivity to the subtle stains and the delicate handwriting on the letters and envelopes as well as the placement of the postage and postmarks are combined with subtle brushstrokes that "reframe" a moment in time.The work is more developmental than referential.
