The SS Jeremiah O’Brien is proud to announce its May 17, 2008 Maritime Day San Francisco Bay Cruise.

An annual tradition since 1980, the SS Jeremiah O’Brien pays tribute to our nation’s veterans. Complete with Color Guard and wreath tributes, the cruise celebrates maritime Day with Flair. Includes continenal breakfast, catered lunch and the Natural Gas Jazz Band.

The S.S. Jeremiah O’Brien is a veteran of 11 Atlantic crossings during WWII and the D-Day landing. She was also the only large vessel to return to Normandy for the 1994 50th Anniversary of the allied invasion that changed the course of the war.

What many also don’t know is the S.S. Jeremiah O’Brien was an integral participant in helping James Cameron’s major motion picture Titanic take home 3 of its 11 Academy Awards, including Best Sound, Best Sound Effects and Best Visual Effects.

When: Saturday, May 17, 2008 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Departs from Pier 45, Fisherman’s Wharf.
