The Lab is pleased to present a solo show featuring the work of Clare Szydlowski. Drawing on her teenage memories of moving from Buffalo, NY to Orange County, CA, Szydlowski investigates the regulated orderliness and mandated color palette of the suburbs. Her current body of work incorporates laser cut paint samples which recreate the vernacular architecture and related imagery of the suburbs using the colors approved by homeowner's associations.
Clare recieved her MFA (Printmaking) from San Francisco State University in 2009.
