2nd Annual ROCK OUT WITH YOUR CHALK OUT: Miraloma Elementary School Benefit (Night Show)

The proceeds of this concert will benefit Miraloma Elementary School’s aspiring musicians by providing them with opportunities to team up with the Blue Bear School of Music teachers in exploring and learning rock, blues, jazz, folk or pop instruments. The goal of this program is to afford all interested students access to instruments and instruction which aren’t traditionally taught in elementary schools, providing them with the time and space to rock to their hearts’ content.

Chuck Ragan - Simply put, they don’t make musicians like Chuck Ragan anymore. For nearly two decades Ragan has traversed the country and the world - first with his celebrated punk act Hot Water Music and later as a solo troubadour - to bring his music to the masses.

Matt Skiba - For over a decade, Matt Skiba has been bringing his music to stages and audiences all over the world as lead singer and guitarist for Alkaline Trio. During the same time, he has evolved into a global brand in his own right. Skiba T-shirts and logos adorn punk rockers everywhere and his solo projects have now gained as much recognition and critical acclaim as "the trio." While his solo music branches out at times beyond Alkaline Trio's pop punk roots, there has always been a common thread in Matt Skiba's music - totally honest, cerebral, and heartfelt anthems to sing along to.

Uke-Hunt are Spike Slawson (Me First & the Gimme Gimmes, Swingin' Utters) on ukulele and vocals, Randy Burk (Small-Time Napoleons, Filthy Thieving Bastards) on various percussion instruments and vocals, and Jamin Barton (Kelley Stoltz, The Titan Ups, Ramshackle Romeos, Bone Cootes and the Living Wrecks) on saxophone, melodica, harmonica and various other janky instruments. Uke-Hunt play outsider pop tunes, country standards, '80s new wave hits, and tender love ballads all totally unplugged, yet fully electric. More mobile than an Airstream, Uke-Hunt can be wherever they're needed before you can say ukulele!

Travis Hayes may not be a household name just yet, but his honest and heartfelt music charms audiences and listeners near and far. Based out of San Francisco, the singer/songwriter captures a unique perspective on heartbreak and coming of age - all while sipping a glass of whiskey.

Keeping the music going between acts is The Melvinator and his signature "moshup" DJ set. Old school punk classics and old school rap beats get mashed up and thrashed up in ways that will have you dancing with your fists in the air.
