Description
It’s safe to say even though much of the music in the 90s sucked, there was a resurrection of great female fronted bands. Yes, at one time there were women who could play and not just sing, but rock. Cherry Nova is perfect example of that lost time. They draw much inspiration from The Breeders and old L7. They sound like they’d be right at home on the very first Lollapalooza bill; their songs have that melodic, slow punk/rock feeling. We need more females like this, the ones who can take the reins and don’t take any crap. But no, what do we get shoved down our throat? Hanna effing Montana. To you gals out there who want to stand out in the music world: Pay close attention and take notes. Cherry Nova is the real deal. – Beau Dowling sanjose.comMore Info
