Description

Ruraq Maki will be celebrating our 2nd Annual Silent Auction and Fundraiser on Sunday, June 23rd, 2013 at the Women’s Building (Audre Lorde room) in San Francisco. Join us from 4:30-8:00pm for live music, Peruvian dancing, DJ Sake One, lots of tasty tidbits and an open bar, serving Pisco, wine and beer!

Get there early to bid on hot packages from San Francisco businesses while sipping on a delicious pisco cocktail sponsored by BarSol and mixed by bartender Gorge of Madrone art bar. Peruvian dance troupe De Rompe y Raja Cultural Association will present traditional Peruvian dances and later in the evening bust your own moves to San Francisco’s own DJ Sake One. Beautiful, fair trade and handmade items by women in Ruraq Maki’s programs will also be on sale.

The proceeds of this event will support the Yanamilla Prison Project and Manos Independientes, allowing us to broaden our educational programs for incarcerated women in Peru and rural female weavers in Bolivia.

$10-$20 sliding scale, no one turned away for lack of funds
