On Saturday, July 14, the Left Bank Brasseries in San Jose and Menlo Park will be celebrating Bastille Day by offering a la carte menu specials, live music, staff dressed up in traditional French garb, and festive decorations. Vive la revolution!In San Jose guests can enjoy Tartare de tomate (heirloom tomato tartar on toasted brioche with tarragon goat cream cheese/$8.75); Noix de Coquilles Saint Jacques (pan seared day boat scallops and grilled sweet corn salad with toy box tomatoes, pea sprouts, and roasted tomato vinaigrette/$11.75); Caille Farcie (Salinas boneless quail stuffed with house made chorizo, caramelized onions, roasted couscous and grilled asparagus with a honey lavender jus de poulet/$24.50); Longe d’Agneau Grillée (marinated grilled lamb loin, roasted garlic potato cake, tomato Provençale and a licorice rosemary jus/($32.00); and Fraisiers de Fanny (almond sponge cake, vanilla cream, macerated strawberries, toasted almonds and hot chocolate with crème Chantilly sauce/$8.50).
Featured in Menlo Park will be Crevettes Sauvage de la Mer de Cortez (wild caught white shrimp, saffron heirloom tomato concassée, garlic chips and sorrel leaves/$18.25) and Jarret d’Agneau, herbes de Provence et jus d’Agneau (braised lamb shank, ratatouille stuffed vine ripe tomatoes, polenta fritters and lamb juice/$24.75).
