Description
The first rule of punk rock is to play raw, sincere music with every ounce of energy you can muster. It was true in the ’80s, and it continues to be true today with new, young bands like San Jose’s Caps, who don’t hesitate to blast out chords with full force and scream their heads off. They mix in some ska, too, but like Operation Ivy, even their ska is punk. Caps also understand the second rule of punk: When onstage, act like lunatics. Their bass player (who calls himself “Bread”) is the master of said strategy. This will be the last show ever for Caps (until, of course, they play a reunion show). (AC)
