CANDY RAIN is a monthly dance party on every third tuesday of the month at the Beauty Bar in San Francisco 2299 mission st right in the heart of the Mission District accessible toMuni buslines and Bart Railway station.DJs Chess King & Sugar T. commandeer all patrons thru a sonic odyssey of three decades of urban dance anthems ranging from 80s electrofunk (Vanity6,Cameo)and Latin freestyle to New jack swing(BBD),classic hip hop (lotsa tribe called quest,LL cool j,tec)and house from the 90/80s plus the occassional timeless slow jams a la Al B.sure! and Ready For The world. In addition to the nonstop grooves pumping out the speakers there also in a bubble machine and sexy mimes eager to bust out the Cabbage patch and any other old school moves.The atmosphere is very friendly with the crowd leaving any pretentions at the door abnd concentrating on gettin loose on the danclefloor.There is never a cover and always drink specials.21+ welcome w/ID.
