When their “Ain’t No Rest for the Wicked” single hit it big, Cage the Elephant seemed to come on like an overnight success, even though they’ve been around since 2005 and building a following since their breakthrough gig at South By Southwest in 2007. It remains to be seen if they’ll be a flash in the pan, but the Blank Club definitely caught them at the right time in November. Another of the high-profile Blank shows orchestrated by Channel 92.3, it packed the club to the gills and kept the audience buzzing, even through a horrendous prog-rock-disco opener. Now they’re back, headliners of a “secret show” just being announced this week. Now you know, so if you have any hope of getting in, you’d better get that ticket pretty much right now.
