Description
The Borealis String Quartet has created a sensation across Canada with its dynamic performances, passionate style and refined musical interpretations. Featured frequently on CBC Radio, the Borealis has performed to critical acclaim and sold-out concert halls in every province. Quartet-in-Residence at the University of British Columbia’s School of Music, the Quartet performs on four historic instruments made between 1698 and 1788 thanks to a sponsorship from Taiwan’s Chimei Culture Foundation. The Quartet returns following its much-lauded Kohl début in spring 2008.There will be a pre-concert talk at 6pm with Kai Christiansen.
