Description
Formed in 1995, Blue October struck an immediate chord in their home base of Texas with their compelling live shows. They generated their first regional breakout hit, “Calling You” in 2003. A defining live album and DVD ArgueWith a Tree followed in 2005. Blue October released Foiled on Brando/Universal Motown Records in 2006, and achieved RIAA platinum certification in February 2007.Blue October’s new studio album Approaching Normal was released in March and features the first single, “Dirt Room.” Produced by Steve Lillywhite (U2, Dave Matthews Band, Peter Gabriel) Approaching Normal is bracing and untrammeled, anguished and cathartic, brilliantly melodic with a variety of musical textures that bring together the bands trademark sound of rock guitars, violins and lyrical story telling.
Come down to the San Jose Civic Auditorium for a triple dose of solid rock with Blue October, Switchfoot and Longwave on August 1.
