After a week at Yoshi’s San Francisco spent revisiting the influential jazz fusion of his 1973 debut Spectrum, the peerless drummer Billy Cobham settles into the Oakland club for what promises to be a more straight-ahead affair. Cobham will lead a superior quartet featuring Kenny Barron on piano, John B. Williams on bass, and longtime colleague Randy Brecker on trumpet.
