The Bernal Heights Outdoor Cinema "has become a traditional Labor Day weekend event for Bernal residents and city-wide film lovers. Film and video mini-documentaries, art, fiction, animation, narratives, and music videos are shown under the stars to local appreciative audiences during a 10-day period. Filmmakers' works will be eligible for the 'Best of Bernal' Award to recognize exceptional resident film making talent as well as the 'Spirit of Bernal' Award, given to the title that best exhibits the artistic spirit and sensibilities of the village-like neighborhood of Bernal Heights."- elriosf.com
