Bay Street Hosts One Warm Coat Drive

In an effort to keep those less fortunate warm this holiday season, Bay Street is hosting their annual One Warm Coat Drive Friday, November 27 through Saturday, January 9. East Bay community members are encouraged to open up their hearts and closets to make sure no local resident is without a coat this winter.

Donating a coat is easy. Throughout the holiday season, shoppers are encouraged to bring outerwear including rain coats, jackets and pea coats of all shapes and sizes to Bay Street. There will be several drop-off barrels located throughout the shopping center including the Bay Street Management Office, located on the first level below the AMC Theatres; the Bay Street Security Office, located in front of Fudruckers; and at the holiday tree in the plaza. All donated coats will be distributed to those in need, free of charge, just in time for the winter season.

One Warm Coat is a national non-profit organization that helps individuals, groups, companies and organizations across the country collect coats and deliver them to local agencies that distribute them free, to people in need.
