History San Jose in partnership with San Jose Taiko's youth program celebrates Asian American Heritage Month with a celebration at History Park. Japanese singing from Lotus Preschoolers will be at 1:30pm before a performance from the Junior Taiko Performing Ensemble at 2pm.

There also will be Samarai hat making, Vietnamese lanterns, Chinese drums and more. As affiliates of History San Jose, the Ng Ching Gung of the Chinese Heritage Cultural Project (CHCP) and the Immigrant Resettlement & Cultural Center (IRCC), the Museum of the Boat People & Republic of Vietnam, located inside History Park, will be open.

Stanford Archaeology Center students will be at History Park facilitating a mock excavation with screening, artifact identification and reconstruction. This family educational program will allow individuals to collect stickers for each activity to place in their own Archaeology Passports and become "certified" as a Junior Archaeologists. The trolley will be available for rides around the park, as well as handcar rides.
