Description
J-pop, Bollywood and indie sci-fi have all been themes at ArtRage, a popular after-hours event at the San Jose Museum of Art. This year, the museum is paying homage to artist Victor Cartagena by bringing in his favorite carnavalescos--the Afro-Brazilian dance and percussion group Fogo Na Roupa. Cartagena's multimedia exhibition Beta Space spotlights the plight of migrant workers, particularly those who harvested sugar in the Bay Area. Skip traffic and enjoy an evening of funky samba, specialty cocktails and hands-on arts inspired by Cartagena's work.
