An afternoon of fun and intelligent jazz by Bay Area favorite Anton Schwartz. Now based out of Seattle, jazz saxophonist and composer Anton Schwartz delights listeners in with the power, spirit and subtle complexity of his music. He has headlined high-profile jazz venues across the country, including the Blue Note (NYC), Yoshi’s (SF), Blues Alley (DC) and the Monterey Jazz Festival. His four CDs have earned sterling reviews and strong airplay, with his most recent CD, Radiant Blue, hitting number four on the national jazz radio charts.
Here Schwartz is joined by longtime collaborators Adam Shulman (piano), John Shifflett (bass) and Jason Lewis (drums). The band’s chemistry is the result of hundreds of performances together over the years, and will be on display in abundance, as they draw material from Schwartz’s large array of original compositions and arrangements.
