"The exhibit will include artwork featuring many creatures - from cats, dogs, insects, and wildlife to fowl. In addition to celebrating our mammalian and reptilian friends, a more serious issue affecting Bay Area residents will be brought to light. Larry Bragman, former mayor of Fairfax, will join Lake Hanyu to raise awareness about a pesticide known as “Checkmate,” a chemical that the CDFA will begin aerial spraying for the light brown apple moth starting August 1st, 2008. Larry will speak about the health risks and implications upon residents and creatures native to the Bay Area.Snacks and refreshments served
