But it has stuck by the tried and true, as well. The two-story club has been home to the Planet Reggae dance party for more than a dozen years. That brick building on the corner of South First and San Salvador has increased its bookings in the nightclub, with appearances by Dwele, DJ ?uestlove and Planet Asia. Downstairs on the street level, the restaurant offers cateriong events nd private parties.

The Agenda has its salsa night dialed. They've got free salsa lessons (beginners are welcome) with only a $5 cover charge, which you can avoid by eating dinner in the restaurant before salsa time. The DJs spin all different genres of salsa, plus merengue, bachata and a bit of cha cha, all of which is appreciated each Wednesday by a large crowd of regulars, semiregulars and virgins—most of which are willingly sacrificed to the fiery god of salsa every week.
