Peabody Fine Art Gallery in downtown Los Gatos is debuting Valentine's-themed pieces, featuring local artist Riki R. Nelson. On Saturday the 13th, there will be a small reception to welcome an exhibit featuring paintings by Nelson and champagne and chocolate hors d'oevures. Following will be a two-day paiting performance through the rest of Valentine's weekend.Riki R. Nelson is a California native who specializes in portraits of jazz musicians, singers, and still lifes from bars and nightclubs. Her current work leans toward the bizarre, with many still lifes of unusual subjects like donuts and candy.
