Description
Local teenagers and youngsters, about 30 in all, will be performing in Shakespeare's light-hearted comedy, "A Midsummer Night's Dream". The Youth Shakespeare group, led by Artistic Director, Bob Rumsby, is now in its seventh year of operation, having produced a range of Shakespeare’s plays since April 2004. Last season the group produced Julius Caesar and The Tempest, and in 2008, The Winter’s Tale and As You Like It.All Youth Shakespeare productions emphasize the simple stories behind Shakespeare’s plays, with no attempt to adapt or modernize the action or the language. The plays are presented uncut and run for about 2 ½ hours with two intermissions. Families with young children are always welcome.
Adults: $8 (advance): $10 (door), Children 8-17: $5 (advance): $7 (door), Children 7 & under free.
