Description
Take a step back into childhood as artists in this exhibition create a child's world of their own. The artists take personal and collective childhood experiences and turn them into tangible expressions of contemporary life. On the surface the viewer is met with whimsical images, but once deeper inside, viewers find themselves face to face with issues such as gender struggles, culture clash, and personal conflict. The artists in this exhibition include Squeak Carnwath, Enrique Chagoya, Don Fritz, David Huffman, Lucy Puls, Kyle Reicher, Laura Reid, Walter Robinson, Isis Rodriguez, Mary Snowden, Kathryn Spence, and Heidi Zumbrun.A reception will be held Friday June 18, 2010, from 7-9pm. The reception, as well as the exhibition, is free to the public and is a chance to meet with the artists.
