Nellie Dollin, the penultimate resident to leave Drawbridge. She abandoned ship in 1974 when encounters with vandals became too troublesome. She was described by other residents as beautiful and gorgeous.

"The fellows at Drawbridge went "ga-ga" over her."
O.L. "Montey" Dewey.

Nellie started coming to Drawbridge in 1910 at the age of 10. Nellie, her sister, and mother, would visit her father at his cabin. Her father was an avid duck hunter and a dentist in San Francisco. He died of a heart attack in 1907 on Whitney Island near Milpitas while bending over to pick up a duck.

Dowd, Circa 1932
Nellie's first house, The White Pelican, built in 1932. Nellie would live here into the 1960's. "We had beautiful linoleum and tile, kinda like flagstone, you know, from Armstrong, red tile. I had it real nice."
Nellie Dollin
