At some point in time Dimmick St. was changed to Taylor St. -- a bad thing to do. Kimball H. Dimmick was one of the towns original promoters, and should not have been substituted.

Note that El Dorado St. is on both sides of the Guadalupe. It was once the road between Alviso and Santa Clara. Gold St. now connects across the slough -- named Lafayette St. on the other side of Highway 237.

The railroad bridge is the demarcation between the Alviso Slough and the Guadalupe River. San Jose only takes responsibility up to the bridge.

"Dotted" line is the railroad.
