Each of these bands once employed Jeff "Skunk" Baxter. Now they're combining their classic rock bona fides on a tour designed to take you back, Jack, and do 1977 all over again. They're calling it The Summer of Living Dangerously. Steely frontman Donald Fagen has vowed to press on after the death last year of his longtime musical partner Walter Becker. And for the Doobie’s Patrick Simmons, Tom Johnston and John McFee, a Shoreline gig always amounts to a homecoming show. As for the Skunk, he left rock & roll many years ago to become a consultant in military missile defense. Who saw that coming?
