Opportunities to speak about what matters to you are everywhere. Are you up to the challenge? Professional media and self-generated media present many of the same opportunities - and the same pitfalls. How do you shape your message so it is clear, coherent and engaging? How do you deal with hostile and/or manipulative questions during an interview? What should you wear for a television or video interview? And how can you stop feeling so nervous?

This class will cover the basics of framing an issue and developing talking points, no matter how controversial and "hot" the issue, give you lots of practice in role playing friendly and not-so-friendly interview scenarios, discuss the art of the soundbite, cover the basics of public speaking, and put you through the necessary friendly fire of evaluating your own on-air performance.

Most of us don't spend enough time practicing the art of spokespersonship and practice pays off.
