Tasting fine wines is always a treat—and doubly so when it’s for a good cause. The Poppy Farm and San Pedro Square Market provide just such an opportunity this Saturday with Vineyard to Market.

The event takes place in the afternoon (2-6pm) inside the San Jose’s San Pedro Square Market at Poppy Farm’s new retail space. Poppy Farm is creating a niche for itself with home and garden crafts, plus plants from its nursery, Native, Revival, located over the hill in Soquel.

In addition to 2- and 4-ounce pours from the participating wineries—Vino Vino, Trout Gulch Winery, Sones Cellars, Clos LaChance Winery, Fogarty Winery, Martella Winery and Muns Winery—there will be good food to sample as well. Among the vendors will be Blush Raw Bar & Lounge, Bucco Lupo Pizza, CreParis Crepes, Little Cheese Shoppe, Loteria Taco Bar, Robee’s Falafel and Treatbot. The sipping and sampling will be accompanied by live music, and a silent auction is also planned.

The cost for wine pours and small plates will start at $3. A portion of the proceeds will go to PACT—People Acting in Community Together.
