M.I.S.S. is an on-going project bringing together and providing a voice for talented and creative women. A forum for the women's perspective on all things street: fashion, art, music, travel...among other things. M.I.S.S. aims to create an environment for networking while providing a platform for sharing our experiences and knowledge. The goal is to establish a women's on-line street culture magazine celebrating not only the things we love but offering up a bit of history and roots. While we mobilize and get the project rolling we will have monthly projects where members are invited to submit photos, text or art based on the monthly theme. (ai-UH-sayj) has been performing onstage since the age of 2, but began her rap career in 2002 as part of the San Francisco-based rap collective Rhapsodistas. Growing weary of Hip-Hop's direction, she decided to fill the void and make music that balanced her city upbringing with social commentary. She's been featured on the Native Guns Stray Bullets Vol.2 Mixtape, Bambu's I Scream Bars for the Children, and Roscoe Umali's I Love My DJs street album. Her first mixtape, Married to the Hustle, was released on February 14, 2007, and she is now working on her solo debut album. Bay Area veteran lady DJ Zita brings her unforgettable mix of versatility and femininity to the turntables every time she puts needle to vinyl. And she does spin strictly vinyl. Since 2000, the incomparable DJ Zita has released over 6 mix CDs and you can catch her regularly as resident dj and host at Golden every 3rd Saturday at the Laszlo Bar in SF's Mission District together with her Golden Soundscapes crew partner Dmadness. She also holds down a residency with the her brainchild, BAY AREA SISTAH SOUND (B.A.S.S.), the Bay's Premier Lady DJ Crew, at their monthly jumpoff EVERLASTING B.A.S.S.! every 1st Saturday at Milk SF. CELSKIII
(Rock Force) reppinʻ Vallejo and the whole Bay Area, Celskiii has been DJing for 11 years. She has been blessed to have grown up in the Bayʻs Hiphop culture and community. Her first inspirations came from the Invisbl Skratch Piklz, Derrick D, Beatjunkies, 5th platoon, and all the DeeJays from the old Tuesday nights at Decoʻs Beatlounge basement. Besides mixing and rocking doubles, Celskiii loves to cut it up and jam with other folks. Some of her best experiences as a DeeJay include: working with Deeandroid, organizing Skratchpad, spinning for KRS-ONE on his Keep Right tour, skratching at the Turntable TV History of Skratch SF show, and taking fools down at the Table Mannersʻ Q & A team battle in SD, and doing a tribute set for D-Styles at Mighty 4. When she ainʻt DeeJaying, sheʻs busy being Mamafeelgood with her head buried in books. DEEANDROID
(Rock Force) been spinning on the 1's and 2's for eleven years, mixing and skratching Hip Hop stylee. Loves playing for the people and spreading positive vibes whether its through showcasing at Hip Hop shows, spinning at clubs, community events and doin' DJ workshops for the youth. Deeandroid is down with Females wit Funk, Rock Force Crew and Sisterz of the Underground. Been blessed to join KRS ONE as one of his DJs for the Keep Right Tour across the US along side DJ Celskiii, and has shared the stage with hiphoppas, like Grandmaster Theodore, Whodini, DJ Qbert, Jazzy Jeff, Pam the Funkstress, D-Styles, Lyrics Born, Zion I, Procussions and more.
