Description
Gypsy flamenco legend Manuel Agujetas comes to the stage at Kuumbwa Jazz Center, presented by the Bay Area Flamenco Festival. Born in 1939, Manuel Agujetas made his first recording in 1970 and has since become internationally famous for stunningly intense vocal delivery. He has also appeared in Carlos Saura's film Flamenco and is the subject of Dominique Abel's documentary Agujetas, Cantaor. Agujetas will be joined by his wife, dancer Kanako and the talented young Gypsy guitarist Manuel Valencia of Jerez de la Frontera.
