Kevin Coelho is a master of the B3 organ as evidenced by his debut album, Funkengruven - The Joy of Driving a B3, produced by another renowned master of the B, Tony Monaco. Oh yeah, Kevin Coelho is also only 17 years old. Classically trained in piano since he was six years old, Coelho fell in love with the sound of the Hammond B3 when he first heard a recording of "Green Onions" by Booker T & the MGs, and has never looked back since. Kevin attended and performed at the Eastman School of Music Summer Jazz program in 2012 as a rare freshman to be admitted, and has performed at the Stanford Jazz Workshop for the past five years, winning the Outstanding Soloist award multiple times as well as being honored with the prestigious Shape of Jazz to Come award.
