iStandard Producers Showcase

Description

This year iStandardProducers.com will present the 'iStandard Producer Showcase' in over 20 markets once again, and on April 24-25 we'll invade The Rock It Room. During the course of each evening, 12-15 of the areas top up and coming producers (that will be selected from hundreds who submitted) will showcase their production for an esteemed industry panel consisting of RIAA certified platinum producers, industry executives and taste-makers. They will receive invaluable on the spot verbal feedback and constructive criticism solely intended to educate them and help them sharpen their craft.

Co-founded by J Hatch and Don Di Napoli, the iStandard Producer Showcase has been held monthly or quarterly in NYC since March 2005, and monthly or quarterly in Philadelphia at Fluid Night Club since April 2006. The Bay Area Producer Conference in San Francisco (www.bayareaproducersconference.com) has served as a location for the showcase, and the event has also been a part of The ASCAP I Create Music Expo (www.ascap.com/expo) in Los Angeles, Texas Urban Music Summit (www.texasums.com) in Houston, Remix Hotel Series (www.remixhotel.com) in Atlanta, Los Angeles and Miami, and the A3C HipHop Festival in Atlanta (www.a3cfestival.com). It was also subsequently featured as the main event at the One Stop Shop Producer’s Conference that's held annually in Phoenix by Hip-Hop industry mogul and VP of A&R of Def Jam Sha Money XL.

The consistent crowds of between 250-900 (depending on the venue size) have led to successful quarterly 2-day events in Chicago, Atlanta, and Los Angeles for 5 years, and bi-annual events in Boston, Houston, and Washington DC since 2009. We held our first Beats on the Beach 3-Day Music Seminar in Miami while expanding to Raleigh NC, Pittsburgh PA and beyond, so you can definitely see how the iStandard Producer Showcase has become a national brand in just 7 years of existence.

Personalities such as Just Blaze (Producer for Jay-Z, Usher, Kanye West, etc.), Rockwilder (Producer for Jay-Z, Busta Rhymes, Pink, & more), Sha Money XL (CEO of Money Management Group- Lloyd Banks, Young Buck, Hi-Tek, etc.), Dru Ha (CEO/President of Duck Down Records), Lenny Santiago (VP of A&R Roc-A-Fella/Def Jam), Boi 1da, Needlz, Traxster, Rockwilder are just some of the producers, execs and tastemakers who have judged our events. Producers who have showcased in iStandard events have placed records with artists such as 50 Cent, Lloyd Banks, Fabolous, Kanye West, Talib Kweli, Snoop, Rick Ross and more as well as secured licensing deals with Viacom (MTV, BET, VH1).
