On Saturday, June 8, 2019 at 8:00 p.m., NACUSAsf (the National Association of Composers, USA) presents the Friction Quartet at the Palo Alto Art Center Auditorium, 1313 Newell Rd., Palo Alto. The Friction Quartet has been called “terribly beautiful,” by the San Francisco Classical Voice and “exquisitely skilled” by the Calgary Herald. The concert features new works for string quartet by Mark Alfenito, Simon Bokman, Nancy Bloomer Deussen, Brian Field, Be’eri Moalem, Carolyn Bowen Hawley, Greg Steinke and Davide Verotta.
