SCOTT DIAZ BIO:

Scott has ploughed a wide and all encompassing path during his 10 years as a DJ and producer, playing and producing right across the spectrum of house. His influences range from disco, funk, early hip hop and r'n'b right through to vocal, peak time jams and mid-90’s US garage, taking in all that’s great about modern house music.

Scott's reputation is one of the hottest and fastest growing in the house world right now, with his and Matt Jam Lamont's remix of 'Gabrielle' hitting the top spot before going on to spend more than 4 consecutive weeks in the Traxsource top 10. Grant Nelson singled out Scott's forthcoming remix of Lovebirds ' Want You In My Soul' as "possibly one of my favourite remixes of all time" and his superb interpretation of Ron Carroll's house classic 'Back Together' has won him even more respect from across the house community. He has firmly cemented his place as one of the most exciting new house producers to emerge in recent times, with Traxsource featuring no less than 8 of his productions in their 'Jackin' House - Best of 2011' list, and on the remix front the last 12 months have been busy too - he's completed notable remixes for Soulfuric, Nervous, Purple Music, Stoney Boy and Champion Records. His ongoing partnership with Matt Jam Lamont has continued to be a fruitful one, with the pair responsible for upcoming vocal projects with Angie Brown, Bryan Chambers, Kenny Thomas and more, as well as fresh versions of much loved house classics 'Break 4 Love' and 'Slave To The Vibe'.

Scott’s label, connect:d, set up primarily as an outlet for his productions and co-productions, continues to go from strength to strength, with world class DJ’s such as Grant Nelson, MK, DJ Spen, Sonny Fodera, Tony Humphries, Jay-J, Random Soul and Inland Knights all playing and/or charting Scott’s music. He has also been interviewed and featured recently in 5 Magazine (the world's only print magazine totally dedicated to house music), and tapped up for guest mixes on Grant Nelson's Housecall (which has to date had over 60,000 downloads), Anthony Angell's 'Essential House' and the 'Global Dance Session' - each of which are syndicated to over 2 million people worldwide.

Studio success is fundamental to Scott, but the true test of a DJ remains in the clubs, and in that spirit he has been rinsing his passport over the last couple of years too, playing in a number of clubbing destinations - Ibiza, Portugal, Amsterdam, Russia, and the USA to mention a few. He took his talents to Miami WMC this year, rocking parties for Stompy, 5 Magazine, Random Soul and more. He maintains the same refreshing approach to his sets as to his productions, using his own remixes, unreleased edits and mixtools, playing right across the spectrum of house and seamlessly combining a variety of influences and styles. The result is a mixture of vocal, jackin’, disco and main room grooves, but always a uniquely soulful, bumping house sound with the dancefloor in mind.

In addition, his impressive and diverse discography boasts from remixing the likes of underground heavyweights Hardsoul, Rosie Gaines, Kerri Chandler and Sonny Fodera, alongside more commercial acts including Wizard Sleeve (Riverside), Taio Cruz and Alesha Dixon. Scott has composed music for adverts, and licensed tracks through labels such as Ministry Of Sound, Defected and Warner, including 4 singles on the ‘Very Best Of Pure Garage’ compilation which has now gone on to sell more than 80,000 copies globally.

With more huge projects to come from this exciting producer, a healthy gig list and an ever growing fan base of listeners and peers alike, Scott looks destined to even further make his mark on the world of house music."
