Dave Nimmons invites gay/queer men to envision and create a more sustaining public gay/queer world by exploring what their lives mean ethically, spiritually, culturally, and sexually: “We have pioneered social experiments involving ethics of love and nurturance, non-violence and sexuality, intimacy, friendship, bliss, and community--yet the public gay/queer world we have built too often does violence to our hearts, fostering attitude and distance, competition, exclusion, and isolation.” This public dialogue is designed as a first step to “a new kind of queer male world that better manifests our most nurturing values with and for each other,” will explore shared patterns, look at values around community, nurturance, and affection, and offer concrete new ways for gay/queer men to experience themselves and their relationships.
