Description

SHAW by Ollie Welch. George Bernard Shaw was a life-long atheist. He dies and finds himself in Heaven.

Ollie Mae Trost Welch grew up on a beautiful but impractical little farm in the Ozarks of southwest Missouri. She lived close to nature, which infuses her poetry. She has published poems and a memoir, and writes fiction and plays. She is a watercolor artist and a student of classical piano. She has a degree in Creative Writing and English Literature from San Francisco State University. http://www.cwc-peninsula.org/members_list.html

A CHANCE ENCOUNTER by David Hirzel. Two former lovers bump into each other in a midcontinental airport, 10 years after their bitter parting. It’s love at first sight again for them both, but some things never change.

David Hirzel writes plays, poetry, fiction and nonfiction from his ocean overlook in Pacifica, and coordinates the street theatre of the Hyde Street Living History Players at San Francisco Maritime Park. A Chance Encounter is his third play to be staged at the Fringe of Marin (Dominican University), where it received audience and critics’ awards for (2nd place) best play and best director. http://www.davidhirzel.net

ANSWER ME NOW by Teresa LeYung-Ryan. A 10-minute monologue of a middle-aged woman asking her dead mom a question.

Teresa LeYung-Ryan helps clients identify themes, universal archetypes, front-story and back-story. As author of Build Your Writer’s Platform & Fanbase In 22 Days: Attract Agents, Editors, Publishers, Readers, and Media Attention NOW, she says: “Make your name synonymous with the issues you write about.” Teresa has built her own platform happily; her novel Love Made of Heart and her short play Answer Me Now carry the theme closest to her heart: mother-daughter relationship. Answer Me Now was an award winner in the 2012 Redwood Writers Playwriting Contest. Teresa created the annual “Immigrant Experience Writing Contest” and cheers for all contestants.
