About Waifs & Strays:

Waifs & Strays are Amos Nelson and Rich Beanland. A duo born out of diverse musical backgrounds but brought together by a love of house music, pure and simple.

A decade in house music has seen Amos promote and DJ at some of Bristols most influential parties, including the infamous superclub, Scream and holding residencies at some of dance musics most influential parties.

Rich took a different path, first cutting his teeth in the world of jungle and drum n bass, before finding himself at the heart of the fledgling dubstep scene, producing under his Soundbox Productions moniker.

Fast forward a few years, and a chance meeting on Bristols after-party circuit saw them come together to create the eclectic and undeniably unique sound of Waifs & Strays.

Their debut track " 2010s late night 3am " was rapidly snapped up for Matt Tolfreys Leftroom imprint, and set the benchmark high for future success; featuring in DJ Mags essential releases, and picking up props from major players including Luciano, DJ T, Anja Schneider, dOP, Danny Tenaglia and Laurent Garnier.

The follow-up record Yeah Yeah, gathered significant international support following its debut at the 2011 Detroit Music Conference, and being played at almost every club from Fabric to Watergate, featuring first on Heidis Radio 1 show and then becoming Pete Tongs Essential New Tune.

2011 saw the boys profile grow, following on from huge success with their tracks and remixes on the likes of Get Physical, Hot Creations, Leftroom and Futureboogie, all of which ended up featuring high on the dance music charts and the worlds most important dancefloors across the globe.

With a busy diary of UK and international gigs for the start of 2012, the Waifs & Strays are on the outside no more.
