After nearly four years of honing their moody, metallic alt-rock and elegantly etched guitar lines, San Jose's Until We Sleep finally released their debut, self-titled album at the end of last month. Lead singer Brendan Meier has one of those grungy voices that seem to have reappeared out of thin air now that '90s-type guitar rock is making a comeback, and lead guitarist Will Sharman is fascinating to watch—he doesn't stop moving as he massages the notes out of his instrument.
