Our goal for this season was to showcase the talents of the many women, who despite their historical struggles in gaining notoriety, have emerged onto the contemporary music scene with strength and beauty. This seems to be a theme for many ensembles around the country right now, including two of New York's strongest new-music series--Composer Portraits, at Miller Theatre, directed by Melissa Smey, and the Ecstatic Music Festival, curated by Judd Greenstein--as well as our own San Francisco Choral Artists, directed by Magen Solomon.
We hope you can make one of them!
