City Hall dominated The Plaza during its 71-year existence. During much of this time the plaza was called City Hall Park.

Park Avenue entered The Plaza from the west, became San Antonio. San Antonio continued on towards First.

In 1934 preparation for building the Civic Auditorium would "round off" the South end of the park. Which means the title of this page is probably wrong - should be "Circa 1933." Or earlier
