Description
Most people probably still think of Uncle Kracker as a rap-rock act, especially because he came up with high school best friend Kid Rock in Michigan (serving as Rock's DJ for several years), and went after the same trailer-trash vibe on his first and biggest hit, "Follow Me." Ultimately, what he followed Kid Rock into was country music, beginning with his appearance of Kenny Chesney's hit single "When the Sun Goes Down," and followed by his solo country hit "Smile." His last album, 2009's Happy Hour, was more rock, but he kept his country fans happy with a subsequent EP that featured countrified remakes of songs from the album. Just to bring it all full circle, the EP also features a guest appearance from none other than Kid Rock. - Steve Palopoli sanjose.comMore Info
