If there were a punk rock checklist, SoCal's Total Chaos would hit every mark: Spiked mohawks, leather jackets, anti-government/anti-everything lyrics. Check, check and check. They even have badass Sex Pistols-esque pseudonyms (Rob Chaos, Miguel Conflict, Shawn Smash). They first started punk-rocking in 1989, were signed to Epitaph briefly in the '90s, and have made a whole lot of angry anti-establishment fans along the way. They walk a line between hyper-fast crusty and dingy, shout-along street anthems. They've devoted themselves to always political (often controversial) stances in their songs, like advocating for anarchy, and blaming fascism and hate crimes on Christianity.
