The Princess Bride, as told by a young boy's grandfather, follows the story of Princess Buttercup, who falls in love with Westley, a farmboy. But when he is proclaimed to have been murdered at the hands of pirates, Buttercup is then forced into an engagement with Prince Humperdinck, who wants to use her to start a war. But Westley returns, now known as the Dread Pirated Roberts, to save his love and the kingdom along with friends Fezzik and Inigo Montoya, who longs to avenge his father who was killed by a six fingered man.

Starring Cary Elwes, Robin Wright, Mandy Patinkin, Peter Falk, Fred Savage, Chris Sarandon, Christopher Guest, Wallace Shawn and Andre the Giant. Directed by Rob Reiner.
